Nice Haircut, Buddy

Now that Bravest Warriors #1 has been announced I can show you a little of my process on the cover.  I submitted three thumbnails for initial approval and the editor and I both decided on the final design because it looked the most like a first issue.  You can also see that in the thumbnail there was more of a background planned, but I cut it out in the end because the large orange area makes for a more eye-catching design.  Covers are all about standing out on the rack.  I still don’t know who’s doing the interior work but all of Boom’s books are high quality stuff so I’m sure it will be great!
