I really like seeing other peoples’ workspaces so I thought I’d share mine. I built this desk out of two 2x2 and one 1x5 Expedits bookshelves from Ikea. Good desks are expensive anywhere, but I needed something specific that I couldn’t find for cheap, and we had some of these bookshelves in the apartment already so I just got handy.
I do all my work digitally now, and when I’m working the Cintiq just hangs off the side of the desk, so I wanted kind of a shallow depth to the desk so I don’t have a lot of wasted space.
Most importantly I wanted a standing desk that I could switch back and forth from sitting to standing while still looking good and being sturdy. So whenever I need to get out of my chair for a while, I can just lift it up onto the top level and work from there. Voila!
Also, I wanted to build a little habitat for Pulu that will protect her from direct sun and keep her warm in the winter right next to my desk so she can come out and walk around when I’m working because look at her widdle face I just wanna squish it
